(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Iraqi parliament ratified Sunday an agreement with the State of Kuwait on encouragement and protection of joint investments, a move that would further promote economic cooperation between the neighboring countries.
The agreement "will encourage individual labor and trade initiative," the speakership said in a statement following the endorsement of the deal.
The Iraqi government had approved the draft agreement last March. The deal was signed last December 16.
