Carrier sponsors Saudi Green Building Forum
(MENAFN- Arab News) Carrier a world leader in high technology heating refrigerating and air-conditioning solutions sponsored the Saudi Green Building Forum conference in Riyadh from Nov. 16-18.
The conference addressed the environmental impact of buildings while encouraging design construction and operation of efficient sustainable buildings. This is Carrier's second year sponsoring the event. Carrier which operates in Saudi Arabia through Carrier Saudi Service Company and Arabian Air-Conditioning Company is part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems a unit of United Technologies Corp.
More than 200 participants attended the conference including representatives from engineering building management government ministries and municipalities who gathered to exchange ideas and learn about the latest in green building technology.
The forum has the full support of multiple government agencies including the Power of Appointment of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah. It also is recognized by the US Green Building Council.

Carrier a founding member of the US Green Building Council and green building councils on four continents states it is committed to environmental stewardship and sustainable innovation. Through 2013 Carrier's environment health and safety accomplishments include 44 percent reduction in water consumption 37 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions 49 percent reduction in total industrial waste and 73 percent reduction in non-greenhouse gas air emissions.
