(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The World should hold Israel responsible for inhumane acts against Palestinians, said President Mahmoud Abbas here Friday.
Abbas' statement came during the World Forum on Human Rights, which kicked off here on Thursday, with attendance of over 5,000 politicians, NGOs, experts and Nobel peace prize laureates from 94 nations.
Abbas said Israeli acts against Palestinians, including assaults on Gaza and continuation of settlement expansion in the West Bank should be stopped.
Abbas took the chance to laud Morocco's ongoing support for the Palestinian cause, noting that the world should back Palestine in its quest for an independent state within the 1967 borders.
Meanwhile, the forum, which will continue till the 30th of this month, will focus its activities on various aspects of human rights, including civil, political, economic, social and environmental issues.
Kuwait is represented at the event by head of the parliamentary human rights committee MP Abdulhamid Dashti, committee member MP Humoud Al-Hamdan and the Kuwait Embassy's Third Secretary Ibrahim Al-Arfaj
