Al Rahba Hospitals 5th National Womens Health Conference to address top healthcare issues women face with theme "ZERO Approach Campaign"


(MENAFNEditorial) Al Rahba Hospital will be holding its 5th National Women's Health Conference on 28 & 29 November 2014 at Intercontinental Hotel, in Abu Dhabi. The comprehensive two-day conference aims to create awareness on prevention, diagnosis and treatment of major women's health issues that are prevalent in the UAE, middle east and worldwide. Al Rahba Hospital is operated by SEHA and managed by Johns Hopkins Medicine International.

The event targets health professionals and anyone with an interest in women's health. Health Authority-Abu Dhabi (HAAD) has accredited this unique event for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and has awarded the program 13 CME hours Category 1.

The fifth edition of the conference brings to light updates on common health conditions and diseases among women, that includes but limited to different types of cancers; breast cancer, Cervical Cancer & Colorectal Cancer, diabetes, blood disorders, cardiovascular diseases, Arthritis, breast feeding, smoking cessation , hypertension, infectious diseases and others. Embodying the theme of Zero Approach Campaign, the lectures will be focusing on primary, secondary and tertiary strategies. Through a series of engaging presentations and panel discussions, eminent women speakers from the UAE's health care sector will share a wealth of knowledge on disease prevention and improving women's health and general well-being.

The annual National Women's Health Conferences are successfully established as a venue for learning, knowledge sharing and inspiration among women in the UAE, with estimated number of participants 1500.

The conference is chaired by Dr. Nellie Boma, the Chief Medical Officer at Al Rahba Hospital. She believes that women working together in an enlightened culture can make a huge difference to the community. Every year, the aim has been to assemble an extraordinary line up of renowned women speakers and top doctors.
