Royal Oman Police News: Patient airlifted from oil tanker to Sur Hospital


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The aviation wing of ROP on Monday airlifted an ill crew member from an oil tanker which was 23 nautical miles off the coast of Ras al Hadd.

The police received a call from the captain that one of his crew members had suddenly taken ill.

 

ROP's aviation wing swung into action and airlifted the patient to Sur Hospital.

Two Gulf nationals held for smuggling hawks bustards

Two Gulf nationals were arrested for attempting to smuggle hawks and bustards through the Hafeet crossing post in Buraimi governorate.

 

An official in the Directorate General of Customs said the birds were recovered during a routine inspection of a vehicle.

Delegation takes part in GCC healthcare meet

A delegation from ROP represented the sultanate in the first GCC healthcare conference which was held in Kuwait from November 24 to 26. The delegation was led by Ali bin Ahmed al Amiri an officer from the Arzat Police Station.

Besides another ROP delegation led by Ibrahim bin Abdullah al Badawi is participating in the Control Rooms Conference which is being held from November 25 to 27.

Also a delegation from ROP is visiting a number of aircraft maintenance facilities in the Netherlands Spain and Italy. The delegation is being led by Abdullah bin Hamdan al Balushi from the Police Aviation Directorate. During their visits the delegation is being briefed on latest developments in the field of aircraft maintenance.
