Hyundai Engineering wins USD2.66b contract in Uzbekistan

(MENAFN) Hyundai Engineering Co., one of South Korea's leading builders, said that it has won a USD2.66 billion gas processing plant project in Uzbekistan, Yonhap reported.

The company, the construction arm of the giant Hyundai Motor Group, said the group it is leading recently received final permission from the Uzbek government for the Kandym project.

The order had been placed by Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Co., which is a joint venture between Russia's Lukoil and UNG, Uzbekistan's state-run oil and gas company.

"The FEED project helped lay the foundation for the winning of the USD420 million engineering, procurement and construction deal last year, as well as this latest contract," the company said.
