(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Council of Europe said on Wednesday that a delegation from its Parliamentary Assembly would visit the occupied Palestinian Territories on November 28-29 and Israel on November 29-30 to discuss relations with both entities.
The Palestinian Legislative Council is a member of the Partnership for Democracy programme at the Council and Israel has observer status at the Council's Assembly.
In Ramallah, the Council delegation will meet Parliament members, senior government officials and representatives of the private sector and will evaluate the progress in "the partnership".
In Israel, talks are planned with members of the Knesset, ministers and civil society and the media and with diplomats.
The Council of Europe has 47 full members and monitors human rights and democracy in the membership nations and partners and associates.
