Kuwait, Egypt trade hits USD3.2b

(MENAFN) Egypt's Embassy to Kuwait announced that the bilateral trade volume grew USD405 million a year, a figure which excludes the value of Egypt's imports of Kuwaiti oil products, KUNA reported.

The Embassy said that the total trade volume amounted to USD3.2 billion, which is attributed to the increase in the number of Kuwait companies investing in Egypt, which grew from 904 in 2013 to 930 at present, while the number of Egyptian companies operating in Kuwait has reached 2.700 investors.

"The embassy is preparing for visits to Kuwait by Egyptian senior official including Minister of Trade and Industry who will sign an agreement on industrial and commercial cooperation. The joint Kuwait-Egyptian commission will meet in Kuwait, with the agenda of the meeting including political, economic, industrial, commercial, tourist and customs issues," Egypt's Ambassador to Kuwait said.
