Iceland's unemployment rate at 5 percent in October


(MENAFN) According to a data by Statistics Iceland, the country's unemployment rate stood at 5 percent in October, showing a slight change over a year earlier, Xinhua reported.

Data showed that the number of unemployed people amounted to 10,600 in October, up by 1,600 from September, in which the unemployment rate stood 4.8 percent.

Statistics Iceland's data showed that the number of people in the labor force market in October of 2014 was 189,300, of which 9,500 people were unemployed.
