At the Hyderabad wedding of sister Arpita a leaked video has shown Salman Khan teased Katrina Kaif by calling her Katrina Kaif Kapoor… that charmer. The wedding was a closely guarded affair away from prying eyes and mobile cameras. We hear Katrina who prefers keeping quiet when it comes to her private life apparently did not appreciate the joke sophisticated as it was. Both of them were therefore furious when a furtively shot video went viral. We heard Salman is trying to track down the person who did the deed. Let’s hope he’s not behind the wheel when he finds them!
Big fat Bollywood wedding
Cain and Abel Athens vs. Sparta...Coke and Pepsi history has thrown up some great rivalries but according to sources one has come to an amicable conclusion. Veteran heavyweights Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan have reportedly mended their broken friendship. Shah Rukh not only attended Salman’s sister Arpita’s sangeet ceremony but also made it to the reception on Friday night. It is said both of them danced together to the hit number Chaiyya Chaiyya and were also joined by Hrithik Roshan. The star-studded event saw guests such as Sonakshi Sinha Jacqueline Fernandes Karishma Kapoor Imran Khan Shraddha Kapoor Aditya Roy Kapoor Siddharth Malhotra and Farhan Akhtar along with many others enjoy the ceremony. Those who were conspicuous by their absence included Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan Preity Zinta and Akshay Kumar. The ‘wedding gang’ comprising Katrina Kaif Karan Johar Aamir Khan Kiran Rao Priyanka Chopra and Varun Dhawan skipped the reception.
Kangana not happy with Ungli
Every producer is trying to out-do the other by pulling out all the stops when it comes to grabbing attention. It is hard to ignore the aggressive in-your-face promotion before the release of any Bollywood film these days. It is a bit surprising therefore that the cast and director of forthcoming Bollywood film Ungli opening in the UAE this weekend are choosing not to promote it. A little birdie told us that Kangana Ranaut is not too happy with the makers of Ungli. We do not know whether she is upset with the way the film has shaped up or whether the movie’s item number by Shraddha Kapoor is getting too much airtime on TV and radio. Kangana’s manager told us that she is working on back-to-back projects hence she does not have any time to head out on the marketing trail for Ungli. A tabloid from Mumbai reported that Randeep Hooda gave only a single day of his time for press events. We have seen pictures of Emraan Hashmi here and there promoting this film but let’s be honest looking at his recent box office strength will Emraan alone be able to save this project
Welcome Back gets it final release date
We were the first to bring you the rumours and now it’s official the UAE’s very own Welcome Back will open on May 29 2015. The sequel to Firoz A. Nadiadwala’s 2007 blockbuster Welcome with a new star cast including John Abraham Shruti Haasan Nana Patekar Anil Kapoor and others recently completed its schedule at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi. Around 90 per cent of the film has been shot in the UAE. Says producer Firoz A Nadiadwala “We are making every effort to ensure the film will take the entertainment factor notches higher than part one.” The film was to release on December 19 with Aamir Khan’s PK but was postponed as a result of delays in filming and budget issues.
Who’s got those bad vibrations
Many were left wondering why these two leading ladies gave each other the cold shoulder at a recent big wedding. While everyone was in the mood to celebrate these two unnamed young women did not bond with each other at all. In fact they avoided one another the entire time. While one of them stuck to her big group of director friends the other was left mingling with her own select group. If we go back a few years whilst on a shoot for a film one of them was part of the actress learnt about the other’s relationship with the lead actor of said film. No one was aware of their affair at that time. But later it was out in the open. Since then neither has spoken to each other or tried to mingle.
