TRA hosts lecture on vocational safety in Abu Dhabi


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The lecture aimed to introduce the TRA staff to the concept of occupational safety at the workplace and its main principle.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) hosted a lecture titled ‘A Safe and Healthy Work Environment for a Civilised and Advanced Society’ for its employees in collaboration with the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).



The lecture aimed to introduce the TRA staff to the concept of occupational safety at the workplace and its main principles as well as the measures and precautions that should be taken while focussing on the factors and causes leading to common errors and how to avoid them.



The lecture was delivered by Ismat Essam Ghazal skills and self development consultant at the Medical Education Department who focussed on many important issues related to this subject including staff safety fire precautions facilities security protection from contagious diseases and how to protect against injuries and health hazards at the workplace.



“The TRA’s Occupational Health and Safety Month initiative comes as part of an integrated corporate strategy directed towards enhancing workplace safety reducing accidents and minimising the possibility of those accidents occurring. This includes guiding TRA’s employees on all the precautionary mechanisms and control measures to prevent the occurrence of workplace accidents and eliminate their causes in addition to creating a safe and comfortable working ambiance with all safety measures to protect from diseases and injuries” said Mohamed Nasser Al Ghanim Director-General of TRA.
