Emirates Airlines adds new flight to Maldives route


(MENAFN) Dubai's Emirates Airline announced it has added a third daily service to Mal", the capital of the Maldives, which will begin servicing passengers on December 1, Arabian Business reported.

The airline said that the seven new flights a week, which will be operated with Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, were added to give its customers more flexibility, as well as facilitate their connectivity through Emirates' vast international network.

The carrier also said that the new flight will increase the cargo capacity on the route, which will also help facilitate business between the Maldives and its key trading markets.

"The Maldives has proven to be a strong market for leisure and family travel. With a wide range of luxury hotel chains, romantic beaches and adventurous water sports activities; it certainly has something for everyone," Emirates' Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations in West Asia and Indian Ocean said.
