(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's Ambassador to Italy Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Jaber Al-Sabah met Tuesday with Mayor of Florence Dario Nardella.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between Kuwait and the historic city, as well as ways to bolster these relations in cultural, scientific, touristic, and economic fields.
The Kuwaiti diplomat also congratulated Nardella, a prominent leader in the Democratic Party, for being re-elected to a second term as Florence Mayor, pointing out Kuwait's ties with the main regional Italian capital, which is famous for its western arts and culture heritage.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Sheikh Ali lauded, in a statement to KUNA, outcomes of discussions he conducted with officials in Florence, affirming keenness for boosting bilateral cooperation and friendship relations.
For his part, Nardella expressed to KUNA appreciation to the Ambassador visit to his city, noting that a number of important subjects were discussed during their meeting, particularly in the investment field.
