(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The meeting of the General Assembly of 42nd Federation of the Arab News Agencies (FANA) Conference is began here today in presence of directors and presidents of the Arab news agencies.
At the outset of the meeting, Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussain, President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), FANA President and President of the News Agencies World Council (NAWC), delivered a speech in which he thanked Director General of Bahraini News Agency (BNA) Mohannad Suleiman Al-Naimi for warm hospitality.
Al-Hussain added that 'we started in this conference to apply decisions of holding annual meetings of the FANA General Assembly. A session titled 'Ethic and Efficiency in the Work of News Agencies' was held yesterday for discussion of a number of worksheet and positive discussions. We met here today with a full agenda and a number of issues.'
The SPA President said that the FANA achieved a number of distinguished achievements in the field of enhancing joint action and cooperation among the Arab news agencies.
The meeting will discuss issues pertaining to the field of cooperation among the Arab news agencies.
