Directors of Arab News Agencies Meet in Bahrain


(MENAFN- QNA) The General Assembly of the Federation of the Arab News Agencies began their 42nd conference, which is held by Bahrain News Agency (BNA).

President of the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) who is also FANA current Chairman Abdullah bin Fahd Al-Hussain said in his speech that the conference will tackle a number of topics related to decision taken in the past and the work agenda for the future.

He noted that the region is witnessing a very crucial period, something that adds more responsibility on Arab news agencies. He added that FANA has made a number of achievements in terms of enhancing cooperation between Arab news agencies.

Heads of news agencies from 15 countries out of the 18 members of FANA participated in today's conference. The conference had an accompanying exhibition that includes photos of nature in the Arab World.

Representing Qatar news agency in the conference are Director of joint services department at QNA Ajlan Khalfan Al Kuwari and News Department Manager Abdullah al-Mothafar.
