Kuwait donates USD 1 mln to establish Islamic ctr. in Utah


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait donated USD one million to establish an Islamic center in the State of Utah, western the United States, Kuwait's Consulate is Los Angeles, California said.

The initiative was made by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to spread peaceful teachings of Islam away from extremism and violence, Kuwaiti Consul General Abdulattif Al-Yahya told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on Tuesday.

The State of Utah has significant numbers of Islamic communities and mosques spreading around, setting a perfect example of coexistence between people of different faiths, especially with the presence of a large number of churches in the area.
