Jordan condemns terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and Kenya


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency)  Jordan condemned on Monday the recent terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and Kenya.

State Minister for Media Affairs and Communications Mohammad Momani reiterated Jordan's consistent stance rejecting all forms of terrorism and violence, irrespective of their sources or motives.

He also denounced the targeting of innocent civilians and expressed Jordan's solidarity with Arab and friendly countries in confronting terrorism and extremism .

Momani, who is also the government's spokesman, said that combating extremist ideologies and terrorist organizations is an international responsibility as these ideologies and acts threaten world peace and security.

The minister urged the international community to coordinate even better to confront this phenomenon that threatens all countries.

Dozens were killed in Kenya when in a bus attack for which members of Somalia's al-Shabab armed group claimed responsibility.

Dozens were also killed and injured when a suicide bomber detonated his explosive vest among a crowd of spectators at a volleyball match in Afghanistan.
