
Oman Air names managers for Philippines and Indonesia
Ritchie Tuano has been appointed country manager for the Philippines in readiness for the launch of three flights a week from Muscat to Manila on December 2. Iman Hartono is the new country manager for Indonesia. Oman Air is to launch thrice-a-week flights between Muscat to Jakarta on December 12 with a fourth flight to be operated from January 2 2015 a press release said on Monday.
Announcing the appointments Mahfood Ali Saleem al Harthy chief officer of sales at Oman Air said 'We are delighted to welcome Tuano and Hartono to these new positions and we wish them both the very best in their roles. We also look forward to benefiting from their extensive experience and knowledge of local markets to make these new routes to Manila and Jakarta a resounding commercial success.'
Oman Air's launch of the two new destinations signals the start of the national carrier's latest phase of ambitious expansion. This will see Oman Air expand its fleet from 30 aircraft to around 50 aircraft within a three-year timescale the release added.
