China to invest in Iran for railway project


(MENAFN) The Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development said that Iran has signed a deal with a Chinese company for providing part of finance needed for construction of Tehran-Hamedan-Sanandaj railway, Iran Daily reported.

The agreement was signed during a recent visit to Iran by a Chinese delegation, local media reported.

The railway project stretches 410 kilometers joining capital city of Tehran to northwestern cities of Hamedan and Sanandaj.
