Malaysia to attract USD59.64b investment


(MENAFN) According to Malaysia's International Trade and Industry Deputy Minister, the country is forecasted to attract USD59.64 billion, accounting for 10 percent of the total investment in the Asean countries, QNA reported.

With the implementation of the AEC, agreed to in 2007, Malaysia will also benefit from a market of 620 million people in the Asean countries, the ministry added after the presentation of Quality Environment Practices.

The AEC harmonizing and standardizing intra-regional import and export procedures, government agencies and the private sector need to improve their competitiveness in order to attract investors through QE/5S practices.
