Kuwait- KD 1,000 Fine For Insulting Woman
(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Misdemeanor Court obliged a citizen to pay KD 1000 in compensation to a female compatriot for insult and humiliation.
The plaintiff (female citizen) sued the defendant for abusing and humiliating her in front of several members of the public who reportedly witnessed the incident. Representing the plaintiff lawyer Zeyd Al-Khabaz told the court that his client suffered emotional damage due to insults the defendant rained on her, indicating KD 1000 is enough to mend the level of humiliation his client suffered in the hand of the suspend.
