Kuwait- Police Officer In Rules Violation


(MENAFN- Arab Times) A police officer from a GCC country attached to the Kuwaiti policetraining department was arrested for running over an officer, as he tried to flee after he was stopped by traffic officers for reckless driving, says Al-Seyassah.

Security sources said the Operations Room received report about a motorist who was driving in a reckless manner and performing stunts with his pick-up van in Saad Al-Abdullah area in Jahra governorate.

Acting on information, a police patrol team went to the scene and forced the suspect to pull up. To their surprise, he tried to escape when an officer approached him and ask for his identification papers, hitting the police officer and then another car.

He was arrested and referred to concerned authorities. The injured officer was referred to Jahra General Hospital where he is recovering from bruises he sustained during the incident. It is noteworthy the suspect is a police officer from a GCC country and he is currently working for the police-training department of Interior Ministry
