FANA meetings to discuss regional conflicts' impacts on media - KUNA chief


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) Board Chairman and Director General Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Sabah said Sunday the 42nd General Assembly for Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) would touch upon a host of Arab media issues.

Sheikh Mubarak, speaking to KUNA after his arrival in Manama for FANA two-day meeting, due tomorrow, said participants would discuss how developments in some Arab countries were affecting coverage of the regional media organizations.

They will also discuss the relation between FANA Secretariat with international news agencies, Sheikh Mubarak, who is FANA's vice-president, said.

Participants will also discuss preparations for train-the-trainer workshop to be held in cooperation with Thompson Reuters Foundation.
