(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemned Sunday the killing of 28 passengers traveling in a bus by terrorist militants in northern Kenya.
OIC Secretary General Iyad Ameen Madani expressed, in a press statement, "horror" over the terrorist attack, in which innocent travelers, including women, were ambushed and executed, affirming that nothing could justify such brutal act.
He conveyed his deep sympathy to families of the victims and to the government and people of Kenya for this tragedy, urging authorities to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Al-Shabaab, a Somali-based militant group, had claimed responsibility for the massacre, noting that this attack comes in revenge to operations conducted by Kenyan police against mosques in Mombasa in the Kenyan coast.
