Kuwait- Sheikha Fariha in Morocco to encourage national team


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Chairperson of the Kuwait Society for the Ideal Family Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah is due to attend opening, late on Monday, of the 26th round of the Arab tennis table tournament.

In remarks to KUNA, upon her arrival at Agadir airport, late on Sunday, Sheikha Fariha confirmed that her visit was intended to support the Kuwaiti female team of Al-Fatat Women Sports Club, taking part in the championship, hoping that the Kuwaiti players would demonstrate good will, sports ethics and portray a good image of Kuwait during the games.

Mina Buhdoud, secretary of the Moroccan parliament, who was among dignitaries that welcomed Sheikha Fariha upon her arrival, praised the brotherly ties between Kuwait and Morocco.

Up to 36 Arab clubs, including 12 female teams, are taking part in the Arab tournament, hosted for the first time by Agadir, and the third time by Morocco.

The Kuwaiti team will play, during the opening day, against Algeria. The next day, the players will encounter Al-Ahli of Egypt.
