(MENAFN- QNA) "Tunisia will win and terrorist groups can by no means derail the smooth conduct of elections," said interim Premier Mehdi Jomaa after casting ballot.
Jomaa urged youths to vote and said it is important they have confidence in tomorrow’s Tunisia project, Tunisian Press Agency (SPA) reported.
"Tunisia is embarking on a stage of reconstruction of a modern state," the Prime Minister said; a promising future is awaiting the country, he added.
An environment conducive to legislative and presidential elections topped the current government’s priorities, Jomaa elaborated.
"Necessary measures were taken to secure the smooth conduct of presidential elections nationwide," he added.
