Zayed Giving intensifies voluntary work in Africa


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The initiative also intensified the work of its voluntary teams at the local and international levels in various health educational and cultural fields.

Abu Dhabi — The Zayed Giving Initiative has intensified its voluntary programmes in Africa as part of its global international aid campaign.



The campaign seeks to deliver humanitarian assistance to three million children and elderly people with the participation of thousands of volunteers in countries across the world in line with the humanitarian legacy of the late Shaikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.



The initiative also comes as part of the One Million Volunteers Campaign which seeks to create a culture of voluntary and charitable work as well as partnerships among individuals and institutions.



The volunteers of the Zayed Giving initiative in countries around the world have completed more than one million hours of volunteer work in villages in Egypt Sudan Kenya Somalia and Morocco in partnership with humanitarian voluntary work centres.



The initiative also intensified the work of its voluntary teams at the local and international levels in various health educational and cultural fields.



Emirati heart surgeon Dr Adel Al Shamri CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative said volunteers are role models in the field of collective work as well as in humanitarian and social volunteering.
