UAE- Umm Al Quwain shop warned for disrespecting national flag


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Children thrust the pieces of paper in the flag colours inside plastic pipes of different sizes and squeeze the pipes to spray the pieces around according to a senior official.

Umm Al Quwain — The Consumer Protection Section of the Economic Development Department in Umm Al Quwain has warned people and shop owners against disrespecting the UAE national flag after several paper pieces in the flag colours were found strewn around.



Children thrust the pieces of paper in the flag colours inside plastic pipes of different sizes and squeeze the pipes to spray the pieces around according to a senior official.



Juma Al Mansouri Head of the Consumer Protection Section said the staff inspectors got at least 90 such paper pieces during raids across the emirate. “The items seized on Wednesday were sold at one of the shops in the emirate to be used in the 43rd UAE National Day celebrations.”



It is not acceptable to dump papers in the UAE flag colours on the ground he added. “This improper use of our national symbol is banned.” The shop owner has been warned for showing disrespect to the national flag.
