Kuwait- Scared Asian Leads Cops To Major Liquor Factory Swoop


(MENAFN- Arab Times) An Asian expatriate who works in a liquor brewing factory in Sabah Al- Ahmad area was arrested. According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, Ahmadi securitymen noticed a vehicle parked in a lot in Sabah Al- Ahmad area while they were patrolling the area. As they approached the vehicle, they noticed an individual jump out of it and run away.

They chased him until he entered a building which they later realized is a large liquor brewing factory. They confiscated 50 cartons of liquor bottles, 22 huge barrels filled with liquor, two iron barrels of liquor, 28 bags of sugar, 6 gas cylinders, tools used for brewing liquor and 6,005 bottles of locally brewed liquor. Investigations are ongoing to arrest those responsible for running the illegal factory.

Meanwhile, an unidentified individual was arrested in Mahboula area in possession of 119 bottles of locally brewed liquor. He was referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him. Ahmadi Security Directorate affirmed that they will take strict action against those who possess drugs and liquor. Security Media Department urged Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates to call the hotline number 112 to inform about any violations.
