(MENAFN- Arab Times) The general assembly of the educational zones chaired by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Dr Khalid Al- Rashid while discussing educational issues reaffirmed the decision to suspend the recruitment of Kuwaiti administrative personnel in Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer zones, reports Al-Watan daily. Al-Rashid stated at the meeting it is illegal for teachers in private sector to have two jobs unless the director of the school approves of it.

Other issues discussed at the meeting was accidents that happen in front of schools where students are hit by motorists, and finding ways to stop the phenomenon for the protection of students, stressing the need to cooperate with parents and to open the door of dialogue to discuss suggestions with the students.

Meanwhile, Minister of Justice, Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al- Sane disclosed that the Public Prosecution received 23 complaints concerning protection of national unity related crimes since Oct 21, 2012, reports Al-Qabas daily. A-Sane made the disclosure while responding to parliamentary questions concerning the aforementioned crimes.

He said the Public Prosecution has been investigating the cases, adding that the cases investigated among those the Public Prosecution decided to withhold or dismiss contain ambiguities which violate provisions of the law were 11 in total.

He explained the Public Prosecution withheld seven of them because they were administrative rather than criminal cases, while four others were referred to the General Investigation Department since they were crime cases that were not relevant to protection of national unity.

In another, unrelated development, the Ministry of Health has canceled appointments in dental clinics and referral from polyclinics to specialized dental centers, such that patients can visit the specialized centers directly without any referral.

Assistant Undersecretary for Dental Affairs Dr Yousef Al-Duwairi disclosed this during inauguration of the Annual Conference of Kuwait Dental Association and Union of Arab Dentists recently. He added the ministry will implement a number of dental projects within the next four years.

He said two 100-clinic capacity dental centers will be inaugurated by early next year. He confirmed the ministry is keen on expanding specialized and preventive medical services by equipping Farwaniya, Jahra, Ahmadi and Capital dental centers with 120 clinics each. He said the private sector complements medical services offered by the public sector.

And, Minister of Commerce and Industry Dr AbdulMohsin Al-Modej issued a decision to cancel eggs from items on the ration card, noting decision No.543/2012 issued earlier to include eggs as ration item was not applied in reality, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

Classrooms in toilets
A private school has transformed some of its toilets into classrooms for students of both genders because the school lacks certain basic requirements in terms of the building, classrooms, etc, reports Al-Rai daily. The school has more than 1,400 students but most of the students are suffering and some of them are often crying while some others refuse to attend school. The school building is very old and the corridors are filled with garbage. The guardians of the students are aware about the condition of the school but they have no choice but to force their children to attend this school because it is the only one in the area.
