ASJC appoints new CEO for Saudi Lebanon operations


(MENAFN- Arab News) Al Salem Johnson Controls (ASJC) a joint venture between the Al Salem Group of Companies and Johnson Controls a global multi industrial company has announced the appointment of Mohanad Alshaikh as the first Saudi national to lead the position of CEO of the company.

With more than 2000 employees and achieving almost 30 percent Saudization Al Salem Johnson Controls is a major air conditioning manufacturer and service company in Saudi Arabia providing solutions ranging from residential units to high-capacity chillers manufactured at its Jeddah factory.

Established in 1991 Al Salem Johnson Controls is positioned as a global industrial leader and a pioneer in providing its customers with integrated solutions that incorporate HVAC equipment fire and security systems building management systems and controls that increase energy efficiency in the Kingdom and Lebanon.

The synergy between Al Salem group of companies and Johnson Controls International a global diversified technology and industrial leader serving customers in more than 150 countries brings a diverse range of quality products services and solutions to optimize energy and operational efficiencies of buildings to the Middle East.

Speaking about his new role Alshaikh said: 'As the world's leading provider of building efficiency solutions our company holds a prominent place in the HVAC industry that are locally manufactured to the highest international standards. Our strategy and growth will be based on finding the right channels while developing our expertise and expanding the products and services that we offer to our customers.'

Mohanad has a Bachelor's degree in international finance Bachelor and Master's degrees in information systems and a Doctorate level degree in engineering management. In addition he has completed executive education programs in Science Technology and Innovation as well as in International Business from the Harvard and Georgetown business schools. He had previously held other positions at Al Salem Johnson Controls.
