Egyptian bourse loses 14 billion pounds


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA))  The Egyptian bourse incurred heavy losses exceeding 14.4 billion Egyptian pounds in the past week trades, putting the market capital in the range of 525 billion pounds, as compared to 539.3 billion pounds, posted in the previous week - with a 2.7 percent decline.

The bourse weekly report, released on Friday, showed the benchmark, EGX, fell 0.02 percent to 9,258 points. EGX-20 fell 0.83 percent to 10,689 points EGX-70 for small and medium chips climbed 3.22 percent, reaching 646 points, while EGX-100 of wider range rose 2.63 percent to 1,155 points.

Value turnover dropped to 4.4 billion pounds from 4.8 billion the previous week.
One USD is traded at approximately 7.1 Egyptian pounds
