Qatar Airways to launch double daily service to Istanbul

(MENAFN) Qatar Airways announced it is planning to expand its flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport by increasing its frequency to a double-daily service, starting March 29, QNA reported.

The Qatari carrier, which currently operates to three destinations in Turkey, with daily flights to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport, ten flights a week to Istanbul Ataturk Airport and four weekly flights to Ankara, said that this increase is the result of the popularity of the carrier's service to Turkey.

Qatar Airways first began servicing Istanbul's Sabiha Gokcen Airport with four flights a week on May 22, but then added three additional flights to the service on October 26 due to the increase in demand.

"Qatar Airways' service to Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen Airport has enjoyed exceptional popularity since its launch earlier this year. The start of a double daily service from March next year will further strengthen our support for leisure and business travel to Istanbul and we are certain that our passengers will welcome this initiative," said Qatar Airways Group CEO.
