UAE's Lulu Group, Oman sign deal for USD20.8m project


(MENAFN) Lulu Group, the Abu Dhabi-based retail firm announced it has signed an operation contract with the Omani government to run a commercial complex, which will include a shopping mall, stores, a food court and a play area, Gulf Business reported.

The complex, which will be constructed by a local firm, is expected to cost around USD20.8 million, with expectations that it will employ more than 200 Omanis once it is finished.

The project, which will cover a total area of 460,000 square meters with the commercial complex occupying almost 17.000 square meters, aims at providing basic goods and supplies at discounted rates to employees of the Omani government, with focus on the sultanate's military employees and their families, though it will be open for the general public as well.
