Qatar stops naturalising Bahrainis: Official

(MENAFN- Khaleej Times)  Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa said that Qatar had stopped the naturalisation process. Bahrain earlier expressed its dissatisfaction over Qatar's naturalising policy towards Bahrain by attracting members of certain tribes. That was considered by Bahrain as a threat to its social stability.

The interior minister praised the positive results of the Riyadh Summit which was attended by GCC leaders.

He asserted that the results indicated the strength and bonding of Gulf countries that positively reflect on their citizens and the important role of GCC states in achieving stability of the Arab nation.

He stressed the ongoing security cooperation and coordination between Gulf countries within the ever-increasing changes and threats in the world that require cooperation and reinforcement of joint efforts. - shamada@khaleejtimes.com
