Saudi- Prince Turki: Riyadh poised to be regional international hub
(MENAFN- Arab News) The capital is poised to be a regional and international center because of the giant projects currently being carried out in the city says Riyadh Gov. Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz.
Addressing a meeting with top businessmen at Riyadh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) he said: "For the effective use of resources and bringing about a balanced development the different governorates in the region will be encouraged to be integrated with each other with a view to benefiting from the resources and capabilities each governorate has in the Riyadh region.'
RCCI Chairman Abdulrahman Al-Zamil welcomed the Prince and commended his active role in boosting the resources and status of the capital so that it becomes more developed and capable of catering for bigger growth in all aspects of activities.
RCCI Secretary-General Mohammed Al-Kathiri in his presentation outlined the RCCI vision of transforming the Riyadh into a into a regional business hub by 2020.
"The giant project being developed at present in the city especially the huge metro and bus transportation system will qualify the capital for that position" Al-Kathiri said.
