(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Kingdom of Bahrain is to play host to the forthcoming meeting of the General Assembly of the Federation of Arab News Agencies (FANA) due on on November 24.
During the meeting, the conferees will mainly seek to enhance and bolster cooperation and crystalize agreements among the FANA members, Bahrain's senior officials said on Wednesday.
"The heads of FANA will exchange views on some issues in order to upgrade media work and joint cooperation," Mohannad Alnoaimi, BNA's acting Director-General, told KUNA.
Successive events across the world and media technical developments require FANA's joint cooperation to get into a competition with the global news agencies, he added.
The meeting, he pointed out, will witness the inauguration of the first FANA media fair.
