(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Kuwaiti and French armies continued their joint exercise 'Pearl of the West 2014' for the fifth consecutive day, taretting strategy and execution under a unified joint command, a Kuwaiti senior officer said Wednesday.
Participants in the drill also practiced executing manouvers accurately to increase their capabilities on fast response when facing crises or challenges, Kuwait Air Force Deputy Commander Group Cpt Abdullah Al-Foudari said in a press statement.
The exercise, which started in November 15 and ends on November 27, aims to bolster defense military cooperation between Kuwait and France, and to gain expertise in the field of joint operations management, he added.
This is the fifth edition of "Pearl of the West" since its formation in 1996. It is being implemented in accordance with a defense cooperation agreement between the two countries, signed in 1992.
