Qatar highlights preparations for UN Congress on Crime


(MENAFN- The Peninsula) Qatari and United Nations delegations on UN Crime Congress met senior US officials of the departments of States and Justice in Washington.

The Qatari delegation was headed by Maj. Gen. Dr Abdullah Yousuf Al Maal, Adviser to the Minister of Interior and Head of Preparatory Committee for 13th UN Crime Congress.

The meeting was attended by Qatari ambassador to the US Mohammed Jaham Al Kuwari.

Preparations made by Qatar to host the congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice € Doha 2015 were highlighted.

Both sides discussed their views and stances on issues on the agenda of the congress and agreed on cooperation and coordination between the delegations of both countries on informal consultations on Doha Draft Declaration to be held at the UN office in Vienna.
