Erdogan Starts Official Visit to Algeria


(MENAFN- QNA) President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived Wednesday in Algiers for a two-day official visit.

Erdogan is accompanied by a large delegation that includes several ministers and businessmen.

Algeria's presidency said in a statement that the visit comes at the invitation of the Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika and comes as part of the continuous strengthening of relations between the two countries, bound by a Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation signed in 2006, the statement added.

During this visit, an Economic Forum of Algerian-Turkish businessman will be held in the presence of President Erdogan and Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal.
