Outage not to significantly impact finances: Omantel

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Oman Telecommunication Co (Omantel) has said that the network outage that affected mobile fixed and Internet services on Monday is not expected to have a significant financial impact on the company.

'We would like to announce that Omantel's network had been impacted by an outage on Monday noon. The outage affected mobile fixed and Internet services. The services were fully restored by [Monday] evening. It is not expected to have a significant financial impact on the company' Oman's largest telecom service provider said in a filing to the MSM on Tuesday.

The outage affected regular day-to-day operations and hurt businesses. Services of Friendi and Renna mobile which use the Omantel network were also impacted.
