(MENAFN- QNA) A prominent Yemeni politician was killed today in a bomb blast in Taiz, South of the capital Sana'a.
An official security source in the Taiz governorate said in a statement that an explosive device targeted the car of Sadiq Mansour, Assistant Secretary General of the Reform Party while passing in the area of Al-Masbah in downtown Taiz governorate killing him immediately.
The source pointed out that the security forces began investigating into the incident and managed to arrest a number of suspects.
The incident came just days after the assassination of Dr. Mohamed Al-Mutawakkil, Assistant Secretary-General of Yemen's Federation for Popular Forces in the capital Sana'a.
