Qatar- HMC Medical Education Director in New Role


(MENAFN- QNA) Hamad Medical College Medical Education Director Dr Abdullatif Al Khal joins Qatar University's (QU) newly set up College of Medicine in a new role.

The Office of President of QU said Dr Al Khal will be the Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the new college.

He will represent the College of Medicine on clinical activities of faculty and students. He will also continue to serve in his current roles at HMC, QU said.

Clinical training at HMC is central to the curriculum of the College of Medicine. Collaboration in medical care, education and research areas between the QU and HMC is vital to the success of the new College. QU said.

Dr. Al Khal oversees a number of strategic projects at HMC which aim at creating safer and higher quality training environment for doctors and improving patient care.

He is also the Deputy Chief of Medical Education at HMC. He served as Chair of Family Medicine from 1999-2001 and Chair of the Department of Medicine from 2001 to 2012.
