Two Yemeni Soldiers Injured in Hadramaut


(MENAFN- QNA) Two Yemeni soldiers were wounded Wednesday in a roadside bomb explosion in the Hadramaut Governorate in eastern Yemen.

An official security source at the governorate said in a press release that an explosive device, planted by unknown persons, exploded as a military patrol while passing on the main road in the city of Shibam, wounding two soldiers on board, adding that security forces began investigating into the incident to identity of the persons who planted the explosive.

The incident came two days after a similar bombing that targeted a military patrol in the city of Al-Mukalla, without causing any casualties The governorate of Hadhramaut, since about three years, has been the scene of similar incidents and attacks against security and military headquarters as well as governmental institutions. Government security authorities accused Al-Qaeda of masterminding the attacks.
