Arab League Chief Welcomes Riyadh Meeting Outcome


(MENAFN- QNA) Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Elaraby welcomed the outcome of the GCC leaders meeting, which was held in Riyadh Sunday at invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.

In a press statement released today, the Arab League chief asserted that the Riyadh meeting results will contribute greatly to creating a suitable atmosphere and push forward the joint Arab action under critical conditions and serious challenges facing the Arab region.

He expressed appreciation for the sincere efforts made by the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who co-chaired the current Arab summit, in collaboration with the GCC leaders in order to reach this agreement, which will have a significant positive impact on the promotion of the cooperation between the GCC countries, the entire Arab relations, the interests of the peoples of the region and its security and stability.
