GCC leaders arrive in Riyadh for summit talks


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) arrived in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Sunday for summit talks over the GCC march and a host of issues of mutual interest, official (SPA) news agency reported.

King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and the official delegation accompanying him arrived at Riyadh Airbase.

The Bahraini monarch is accompanied by a senior delegation that included Minister of Royal Court Sheikh Khaled Al-Khalifa, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashed Al-Khalifa and Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Khalifa.

Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani also arrived in the Saudi capital for the GCC meeting.

Sheikh Tamim is accompanied by Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Thani.

United Arab Emirates (UAE) Vice-President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashed Al-Maktoum arrived in Riyadh for the high-level meeting.

Sheikh Mohammad is accompanied by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

The leaders were received by Deputy Crown Prince, Second Deputy Premier and Saudi King Special Advisor, Prince Muqren bin Abdulaziz, the governor of Riyadh region Prince Turki bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and GCC Secretary General Abdullateef Al-Zayani.
