(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) US President Barack Obama condemns the killing of Abdulrahman (Peter) Kassig by ISIL, the "group associated with inhumanity" which reportedly showed his beheading in a video released earlier today.
In a statement release by the White House confirming the death of the US citizen, Obama said that Kassig "was taken from us in an act of pure evil by a terrorist group that world rightly associates with inhumanity." He said Kassig was a "humanitarian worker who worked to save the lives of Syrian injured.
"ISIL's actions represent no faith, least of all the Muslim faith which Abdulrahman adopted as his own," he concluded.
