Qatar Exchange Index Gains 139.29 Points This Week


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Doha November 13 (QNA) - Qatar Exchange index gained 139.29 points (+1.02%) this week when the bourse closed Thursday at 13729.78 points.

Trading value during this week increased by 35.51% to reach QR 3983189590.52 compared to QR 2939407237.87.

Trading volume increased by 10.45% to reach 66373513 shares as against 60095152 shares. The number of transactions rose by 33.88% to reach 40576 transactions as compared to 30307 transactions.

Market capitalization rose by 1.17% to reach QR 742415526055.23 as compared to QR 733837032951.39 at the end of previous week.

Banking and financial services sector led traded value this week with 28.25% of the total traded value. Real estate sector accounted for 24.54%. Industries sector accounted for 19.87% and consumer goods and services sector accounted for 12.72%.

Real estate sector led traded volume this week with 42.73% of the total traded volume. Banks and financial services sector accounted for 17.64%. Industries sector accounted for 10.20% and telecoms sector accounted 9.91%.

Banking and financial services sector led traded number of transactions this week with 30.03% of the total number of transactions. Industries sector accounted for 26.51%. Real estate sector accounted for 20.91% and consumer goods and Services sector accounted for 9.10%.

From the 43 listed companies 28 ended this week higher while 15 fell.

Barwa Real Estate led traded value this week accounted for 16.22% of the total traded value. QNB accounted for 10.72% and Gulf International Services accounted for 9.57%. (QNA)
