China Expresses Keenness to Expand Ties with Pakistan


(MENAFN- QNA) China on Sunday expressed keenness to expand relations with Pakistan through the implementation of projects involving investments worth billions of dollars.

This came during a meeting held between Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and the Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan, Sun Weidong in Lahore on Sunday.

Punjab Chief Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan is a peaceful country and wants durable peace in the region, noting that the recently signed agreements worth more than forty billion rupees are unprecedented in country's history. He said that the Pak China Economic Corridor has opened new ways to boost the mutual financial cooperation between the two friendly countries.

For his part, Sun Weindong expressed hope that the Pak China cooperation will be boosted in the coming years.

He said that the projects worth billions of dollars will further expand bilateral relations between the two countries.
