FRENCH COMPANIES LOYAL TO THE BIG 5 SHOW OF DUBAI

(MENAFNEditorial) United Arab Emirates; November 2014 - 40 French companies will be exhibiting from 17 to 20 November 2014, in the Pavilion organised by UBIFRANCE (the French agency for International Business Development) at the Big 5 of Dubai. A key event for gaining access to the markets of the Middle East, this annual show attracted 74,854 visitors from 124 countries and 2,747 exhibitors in 2013: figures that mark a return to optimism and which auger well for the 2014 edition.

The Middle East region is of vital importance for building and construction companies. Investment in new construction is estimated at 130 billion euros in Saudi Arabia and annual growth in the sector is running at 20 % in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Chosen to organise the next World Expo in 2020, Dubai is currently experiencing strong recovery in the private property sector. These are important factors that strengthen the appeal of this market worth billions of Dollars.

France, for its part enjoys a reputation for reliability and quality. With a very fragmented structure of close to 340,000 companies and a turnover of 130 billion euros, the building and finishing trade is very diversified. In the Gulf, French companies mainly focus on the markets of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Since the first edition, France is present on the show and even more so this year, over one third of the exhibitors will be appearing for the first time at Big 5 and Middle East Concrete, proof that interest remains high.

For a number of years, French firms have been working to strengthen their presence within the area either by positioning themselves on major projects or by distributing products on the market that constantly incorporate new technologies. The French building sector is distinguished by the diversity and the quality and design of its products: innovative materials in the areas of smart buildings, home automation, sustainable and ecological buildings, energy efficiency and timber construction.

BIG 5 : Hall 1 – Stand 1C34
Middle East Concrete : Sheikh Saeed Hall – Stands F81 to G86

PRESTO: water-saving taps and fittings for all public sanitary facilities
Visit our stand in the Hall 1 – booth G30 (French Pavilion)

PRESTO, a French, family-owned company, has been designing, manufacturing and marketing taps and fittings for all types of public sanitary facilities for 3 generations. It will be presenting its latest products at the Big 5 Show from 17 to 20 November 2014.

Presto® 1000XL DVA, a dual volume direct flush valve which allows a water saving of up to 90 % compared to a conventional flush, thanks to its two separately adjustable water volumes. Its clean-cut, contemporary design is not only hygienic and practical, but also safe and efficient: water is always available and the two flow rates (high and low) are constant regardless of water pressure variations (between 1 and 4 bar).

The second flagship product is the Alpa® timed flow shower mixer tap with waterproof concealed box. Its smooth, rounded shape allows it to stylishly fit into any environment. The new box can be built-in to any type of support: load bearing wall, dry partition, front-mounted, rear-mounted or recessed. Its pre-set flow time of 30 seconds (-10/+5 sec.) and its 6 litre per minute flow rate allow a water saving of up to 60 %. Its smooth, 180° rotating control knob incorporates markings for precise temperature selection. The temperature limiting stop prevents any risk of scalding.

Finally, within its range of sensor-activated time flow taps, PRESTO will be presenting the SO'O® wash-basin mixer tap. Simply by detecting the hands, it delivers exactly the right amount of water without touching the tap, for a totally hygienic solution. It is equipped with an anti-overflow safety system which is activated in the event that the sensor becomes obstructed, as well as an anti-scalding safety system which limits the mixed water temperature to the desired value.

A pioneer in the history of French tapware, PRESTO has always pursued a dynamic R&D policy aimed at better controlling water and energy consumption. Today still, it continues to receive prizes for innovation, its products offer concrete solutions that comply with the health and safety standards.
Present in over 80 countries on all continents, PRESTO is currently finalising the forthcoming opening of its subsidiary in Dubai. Exhibiting at the Big 5 in Dubai will provide the opportunity to meet its prospective customers in the region and to promote its new products.
